A Mile in My Shoes: '81 Uprisings

1 x 8 Mins. 1 x 4 mins + social media content
Directed, Filmed & Edited by Paul Wyatt

For this bespoke iteration of Empathy Museum’s ‘A Mile in My Shoes’ project, Londoners were invited to take an imaginative leap back to 1981 when Black communities across England rose in confrontations with the police. With a giant shoebox stationed in the centre of Brixton, the project shared 35 stories told by people who lived through the momentous summer that changed British history.
